Surry Community College will host the 2nd annual symposium uniting grape growers and winemakers from across the southeastern United States in a collaborative effort to support and expand the region’s wine industry.

The Southeastern United Grape and Wine Symposiumm, scheduled Tuesday through Friday, November 5th - 8th, will feature educational workshops and seminars from some of the most distinguished viticulture and enology professionals on the east coast. The event is co-sponsored with the Viticulture Enology Science and Technology Alliance (VESTA), a partnership of 19 colleges and universities nationwide that delivers groundbreaking distance education opportunities for the grape and wine industry.

Join us on the patio of the Grand Hall as the sun sets for a wine tasting and food pairing with local cheeses, breads, fruits, vegetables, chocolates and truffles --- a truly one of a kind event. Wineries from each state in the Southeastern Region will be represented for tastings and connections. Experience award winning wines from Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, and North Carolina. No charge, open to the community.
